Australia Leadership Full Report
- September 18, 2008
On Friday, September 12, the first official gathering of the 2008 Australia Leadership Retreat lit a short fuse to one explosive event! A company of prodigious Premiers joined our 500K couple, Anton & Dustin Garrity, for a Premier Lunch that spotlighted the strengths of every XanGo leader in attendance.
That same evening, over 110 qualifying (5K and up) distributors—200Ks Annie & Alex Jesaulenko among them—made the formal dinner their destination, where they enjoyed a palate-pleasing Pan-Asian meal together. Aaron next got up and wowed the crowd with his apt delivery of Albert Schweitzer quotes, followed by the eye-moistening maneuver of sharing a tender note from his daughter. To cap the night with delicious surprise, an unexpected birthday cake served to celebrate Aaron’s, Theda’s, Melita Gill’s and (though absent) Gary’s September birthdays.
This year’s event took a slightly different approach, adding a training session to its schedule. So, Saturday saw its morning start with Aaron at the helm, leading off the bonus instruction. His elementary, yet all-important message agreed with the friendly crowd: If we’re united, our success knows no bounds.
Next, Anton took the stage and drew everyone to the edge of their seats. Two weeks earlier, a conference call went out to give the distributors a small taste of 500K Anton. Ever since that call, they had been waiting in anticipation for the live training. Anton didn’t disappoint with his artful explanation of good business structure and an effectively built downline. He did so well, in fact, that Cliff & Ann Pamment gifted him an Australian didgeridoo.
After the successful training, it was time for a bicycle ride to the beach through eucalyptus groves for team building and sand castle competition. The theme was “XanGo Dreams.” The winning castle was entitled “Turning Paris Upside Down”—the sand sculptors obviously had the 500K Paris trip in their sights when they created the upside-down Eiffel tower.
Dinner that night was an Aussie Barby at the beach club. All in attendance dressed up in grass skirts and leis, and they danced late into the evening. The band was great, the food was awesome, and the prizes were the best. We had our 4 newest 5Ks do the Haka, and they did it with authority!
The excitement soared when we announced the launch of Go Pro2 and 3SIXTY5 for personal use in Australia. Margaret Tapine, 5K, accepted an award for the largest growth year to date in her first 9 levels, posting over 500% growth! And, for having the most personally sponsored distributors on 2-Case ADP in August, Premier Melita Gill won an iPod.
Our XanGo CEO, Aaron Garrity, had this to say at the end of it all:
“The leadership is more confident and more excited than ever… and I’m not just saying that. You can feel it. They are ready to take the world by storm after the launch of 3SIXTY5 into the Australian marketplace this weekend.”
